Gout is one of the most painful arthritis since centuries. it is most painful form of arthritis. You can prevent and control gout attacks by deciding what kind of food you should not eat. Taking such medicine in long run may harm more and aggravate condition for gout.

When the human digestive system breaks down protein called purines it produces uric acid. Under normal circumstances uric acid is dissolves and passed away in urine via kidney. Excess uric acid in blood is associated with gout. Reducing or avoiding foods rich in protein and purine means less chances of extra uric acid responsible for gout. Generally non-vegetarian foods which are high in purine should be avoided.

Purine High foods are red meats and organ meat like offal e.g. liver, kidneys or brains, are especially harmful. Sea food such as crab, shrimps, trot, roe (fish eggs), mussels, sardines, anchovies, codfish, herring, scallops, haddock and trout should be avoided. Other foods which are high source of purine are pork, lamb and beef. Other contributory causes for attack of gout are heavy consumption of beer and marmite.

Right diet and food is actually long term solution for gout. Increasing water intake, exercise will help in preventing further attack of gout.
